The Modern Day Wizard
Andrew Wallas, 59, has been described in the Daily Mail as a “Modern Day Wizard” who “transforms your energy”, creating “alchemical shift”.
What makes him unique and effective as a course leader and in individual sessions is that he combines a searing intellect with deep intuition. His consummate skill in identifying core blocks and dysfunctional patterns results from his ability to effortlessly straddle two worlds, exhibiting a profound understanding of one’s inner and outer life. He’s been successful in an outer world sense – creating significant wealth in the City – but was ahead of the collective curve in realising 28 years ago that wealth isn’t money, it is happiness. Just as real value isn’t about bank balances; it’s about fulfilment, love, passion, freedom and joy.
The Wizard’s aim is to impart the message that if we leave the outside world alone for a while and concentrate on our inner world, our outer world will reflect any internal shift we make. He started his working life in the City, where in 10 years he became extremely successful in the Financial Services Industry. By his late twenties, he was fast realising that the rapid growth in outer financial success was correlated with a sense of inner meaninglessness and loneliness. He had a breakdown/ breakthrough – gave up heavy drinking and left the City, to the incomprehension of his colleagues, at the peak of his financial career.
His spiritual crisis and awakening arose from a place of devastating despair and isolation. It led to a 3 year course at Theological College studying theology and philosophy and subsequently gaining a masters degree in psychology. Following several trainings in psychotherapy, he opened a thriving clinical practice in North London, working with individuals and groups.
During the 1980s and early 1990s, he worked with clients focusing on inner child work, bodywork and breath work. He was influenced, among others, by the work of Alice Miller, John Bradshaw, Wilhelm Reich, Alexander Lowen and David Bodella.
In 1993 he returned to the City and established a company with the aim of creating a business based upon different spiritual values, including integrity, transparency and the inherent value of everyone in the organisation. Whilst the business grew rapidly, with exponential growth came a return to dominant cultural values. He left the company in 2005 to wholly concentrate on his spiritual development and to support others in their transformational journeys.
He underwent the Level 1 process at the Oneness University in India, becoming a Oneness Facilitator. He has also completed the Level 2 process, the Oneness Training programme and the Advanced Training programme. Where appropriate, he uses his Oneness experience with groups and individuals.
The Wizard’s powerful, inspirational and life-changing work embodies the notion that joy is readily available now. Where his essence and personality meet, he shows us through his own open-heartedness and implicit understanding of our universal struggles, how to lead a graceful and loving life. He’s an inspirational character with a fearless individuality who underlines the folly of constructing a false self and shows us how to best be and accept our true authentic self.
